Do you take reservations?
Yes! Our short-term RV sites may be reserved for weekly intervals (Saturday-Saturday) during our peak season. A three-night minimum will apply to reservations for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day weekends. During the rest of the season, there is no minimum stay requirement.
What time is check-in?
Check in is between 2:00-8:00 PM.
What time is check-out?
Our check out is 11:00 AM. We do not offer a late check out option during July & August.
What form of payment do you accept?
Payment is due at check-in. Camp Eaton accepts Cash, Travelers Checks, Mastercard, and Visa. We do not accept Canadian currency or personal checks.
Do you accept pets?
Well-behaved pets are welcome but must be secured at all times. Keep in mind that dogs are NOT ALLOWED on the public beaches in York.
Can I put a tent on my popup/RV site ?
No, only 1 shelter (popup, trailer, or motorhome) is permitted on each site.
Where are you located?
Camp Eaton is located on the southern end of Long Sands Beach at 750 York Street (Route 1A) in York Harbor, Maine. We are between the York Village Historic District (2 miles to the south) and the York Beach Town Center (2 miles to the north). We are 45 minutes south of Portland, 15 minutes north of Portsmouth N.H., 1 ½ hours north of Boston.
Where is the beach?
Camp Eaton is located across the street from the southern end of 1.5 mile Long Sands Beach. The beach will be within a 5 minute walk of your site.
Do you have a pool?
We do not have a pool. However, beautiful Long Sands Beach is only a short walk away.
What kind of recreation program to you offer?
We have both structured and unstructured recreation opportunities at Camp Eaton. We have a basketball court, a playground, ball field and horseshoe pit. During the peak season we also have a staffed Recreation Hall with games, books, Foozeball, ping pong, and air-hockey tables that is open most evenings. We also offer arts & crafts projects and/or organized games during the day. During the height of the summer we also plan special events from time to time. For example in the past we have had outdoor movie nights on our ball field, "water-sports days" with inflatable waterslides, musical performances on our gazebo, karaoke nights in the Recreation Hall, and dances on holiday weekends. Reservations, Visitors, Groups
Can I make my reservation online?
Reservations are made by telephone only. To reach our Reservation Office please call: (207) 363-3424.
When do you start taking reservations?
We begin taking reservations by phone in February for the upcoming season. Repeat guests are encouraged pick up a "Early Bird" reservation form during their stay and return it to us by December 1st for the best selection of sites during the height of the summer. If you would like to receive an "Early Bird" Reservation Form by mail, please give us a call.
Can I rent a RV site for only a night or two?
Site availability is generally good in May, June and September for a full hook up site for a night or two. Availability is limited for single night stays in July and August on a first come, first serve basis. Please call ahead to inquire about availability.
Can a friend or family member come visit me during my stay?
A limited number of day guests are welcome, however they are required to register at the office as a guest and pay a guest fee ($6 for adults and $3 for children) upon arrival. Please note that we are unable to accommodate large gatherings at your campsite. York has many great spots to gather with friends and family.
Shelter Sales and Rentals
Do you rent trailers?
No, we do not rent trailers, tents, or any other type of shelter.
Do you have any seasonal sites available?
For current information regarding seasonal sites, please give us a call. Generally we fill any open seasonal sites in October for the upcoming season.
Do you have any trailers for sale?
Generally any trailers that are for sale are posted in our office in October. Please call for more information. All trailers at Camp Eaton are privately owned; we merely act as a broker for current seasonal campers wishing to sell their trailer.
